Ramansh Ram Bundela plays Sahil in Nishabd, based on LGBTQ community

Mumbai, 15 July 2022 (UTN). Ramansh Ram Bundela is seen as Sahil in Nishabd, a show that IS on the new channel Atrangii. The series, by director-producer Mitu, is based on LGBTQIA+ community, and the actor did not have any inhibition being a part of it. As a person and as an actor, I believe that the LGBTQIA+   community deserves as much respect as all the others with survival instincts.
However, we are in the 21st Century, and with more and more movies/shows and LGBTQIA+ community members coming forward to speak about the discrimination they face on a daily basis, it’s time for shows like Atrangi only motivate them to come out and live their life like everyone else,” he says. Sharing his experience of working with Mitu and Positive Thinkerz, he adds that till now, as an actor, he had the best time of his life.
“Describing it as simple words is that it has been very insightful and provided me with quite a good amount of knowledge,” he adds. June was the pride month. So does it make it all the more relevant to be a part of the series? “All the LGBTQIA+  members who deserve an equal amount of joy and respect as others. And to answer your question, as stated previously, I feel shows like these are only doing better for the community.
As an actor, I love experimenting and justifying my bit for the character I play.  Overall it was a great experience, something I’m really proud of,” he says. He believes that conversations around same-sex relationships should start now. “September 6, 2018, changed the lives of many. It’s time you and I get together and do our bit for them, let them lead a happy and healthy life. Love is the same for all. As Indians, we need to get past homophobia and let love be what exactly it is — beautiful,” adds the actor.
A generational shift in programming is happening at the moment it seems. This is in fact the first time that a series like this is being made for TV. “With OTT platforms trying their best to bring to light certain subjects that deserve the world’s attention, I believe this series will only add a feather to that step. Talking about how I feel about being a part of an LGBTQIA+  TV series, I would say that I feel proud and extremely grateful for considering me worthy and someone who could do justice to such a powerful character,” he ends.
